The Coffee County Claybusters is open to any student in grades 9-12.  The Claybusters is a Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) and participants must follow the SCTP code of conduct both on and off the shooting field.  The program is designed to instill in participants safe firearms handling, commitment, responsibility, leadership and teamwork.  It also provides the opportunity for school-age young adults to showcase their competitive shooting skills and earn state and national recognition.

How to Join:   Sign ups are held in January and September and will be posted throughout the school. During the sign up meeting, a parent or guardian must be present and the annual fee of $150 will be due at this time.  If you have completed a Hunter Safety course, please bring your card or certificate to the meeting.  Shooting experience is not required but you will be required to complete a Hunter's Safety Course. This course is hosted by TWRA and is free.

What you must provide:    shotgun, safety glasses, ear protection, and annual dues of $150Shotguns and shooting equipment are never to be brought on school property.  These dues cover the ATA fee, SCTP Insurance for the year, uniform shirt, shell bag, and hat.    Each practice will cost approximately $14 (shells & targets).   The cost of each competition will be approximately $40 per student (7/year).

Practices are held at Highland Rim Shooting Club in Tullahoma.  A map to the club can be found in the right margin of the Trap Shooting Link page.

While it is the goal and intention of the Booster Club to defray some of the costs through fundraisers, this can be done only as the monies are raised and available.  The success of our fundraisers will depend on the amount of support from the team members and their families.

"Thank you" to everyone who has supported this new team through the donation of their time, money,  and resources.  We greatly appreciate the generosity that has assisted this team in getting off the ground.
