The Coffee County Claybusters are privileged to have a dedicated coach who is very knowledgable in the aspects of this sport. His expertise has won the respect of not only the students, but of many of the parents and spectators.

Ben Loveless, a Coffee County native, holds many titles and achievements in this sport; Past President of the Tennessee State Trapshooting Association, Tennessee Delegate at the Amateur Trapshooting Association's Delegates meeting, board of directors of the Tennessee SCTP, and one of the founders of the SCTP program in Tennessee. He is an appointed coach by the NRA, the CMP, the National Shooting Sports Foundation, and the ATA. Ben's expertise is evident in the teams he has coached. They have won the Senior Experienced category in TN twice, won the 2008 TN state JV title, finished in the top five in state twice, and gone to the World National Championships at the Grand American World Championships eight times, finishing sixth in the nation twice. Ben also competes in this sport all over the U.S.
