The Patriot Scholarship

The Patriot Scholarship Program is designed to award juniors and seniors in high school for their patriotism and their ability to express it in writing. Awarded through the Georgia Amateur Trapshooting Association, Hall of Fame, it is available to students in Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida.

Austin Peay State University
Women's Varsity Rifle Team Scholarships 
Austin Peay State University's women's varsity rifle team shoots .177 Cal. air rifles under international rules, meaning they shoot 60 shots standing in 120 minutes.  Any female shooter aspiring to shoot on the collegiate level after July 1rst between their junior & senior year of high school (NCAA regulation) and interested in scholarship opportunities through the university should contact Howard N. Wooster- Head Coach, Women's Rifle Team at Austin Peay State University.  (931) 561-0070.  Most scholarships are $3000-$3400 per year.

ATA Launches New Youth Recognition Award

The Amateur Trapshooting Association wishes to recognize youth under age 18 who take an active part in their community and the shooting sports through individual participation, educational pursuits, and accomplishments. To qualify, youth must complete seven core requirements and a minimum of five elective requirements. Participants must obtain the signature of an adult leader and/or supply a copy of a certificate or card showing that the requirements have been met.

- Applications are due prior to May 1 each year and should be mailed to ATA, Youth Recognition Award, 601 West National Road, Vandalia, OH 45377.

- The awards are made possible by the Trapshooting Hall of Fame and the Friends of NRA.

- Requirements completed prior to the launch of this award will be accepted.

- This award will not impact Olympic eligibility for any young international trapshooter per review by USA Shooting.

- Winners will be honored at the Grand American.
